The 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition was grandly held in Beijing from April 24th to 3rd, 2026. As a key barometer of the global automotive industry, this year’s exhibition has set a new global record with a 380,000-square-meter display area, featuring over 1,400 vehicles—including 181 world premieres and 71 concept cars. Its international and professional standards have reached new heights, making it a vital window to observe the upgrading of China’s automotive industry and the new landscape of Chinese brands going global.
In recent years, the globalization of China’s automotive industry has accelerated steadily. Since 2023, China has ranked first in the world in automobile exports for three consecutive years. In the first quarter of this year alone, exports reached 2.226 million units, a year-on-year increase of 56.7%; among them, new energy vehicle (NEV) exports hit 954,000 units, surging by 1.2 times compared to the same period last year. The strong demand from overseas markets has made this auto show a key platform for domestic and international automakers and dealers to deepen cooperation and jointly explore global markets. Relying on interconnected channel networks, many participating enterprises continue to roll out diversified and customized core technological solutions, precisely adapting to the consumption needs of different countries and regions, and building a more resilient and extensive global development system.
The auto show is not only a stage for new vehicle displays but also an arena for cutting-edge global technologies. In the field of power batteries, innovative achievements such as next-generation super-fast charging batteries, condensed-state batteries, and sodium-ion batteries were showcased, pushing vehicle range beyond 1,500 kilometers and effectively alleviating the “range anxiety” of NEVs. Technologies like second-generation Blade Batteries and solid-state batteries have seen continuous upgrades in safety, range, and charging efficiency, clearly outlining the future development path of power batteries. The fields of intelligence and connectivity also featured numerous highlights: newly upgraded intelligent driving systems adopt a fused perception solution combining pure vision and LiDAR, further enhancing driving precision and safety.
In addition, this year’s exhibition attracted leading supply chain and technology enterprises from 21 countries and regions worldwide. Focusing on electrification, intelligence, and digitalization, they showcased full-industry-chain innovation achievements ranging from core hardware to software systems, injecting new momentum into the collaborative development of the global automotive industry.
